From first idea to lasting memory
A real trip, planned with TripChart — start to finish.
- 01The Idea
It starts with a trip that needs to happen
You've been talking about Tokyo for two years. Someone in the group chat finally books flights. Now everyone's asking "so what are we doing?" You open TripChart, create a trip, and set the dates. Need help? First stop: Charlotte.
→Create a trip → name it, pick your dates, set your destination.
- 02Charlotte
Your itinerary, already packed
Charlotte is TripChart's travel assistant — she carries a library of ready-made itineraries for the world's top destinations. Pick Tokyo, and she hands you a full day-by-day plan, built from real travel content. Don't see your destination? She goes and finds it.
→Ask Charlotte → she returns a complete itinerary → copy it to your trip with one tap.
- 03The Stash
Collect everything you want to do
Great. So you have an itinerary now but it's not quite there yet. You've been saving ideas for weeks — a ramen spot someone texted, that teamLab exhibit, a rooftop bar from a travel vlog. Open Explore, search for each one, and save them to your Stash. They sit there waiting, no pressure to schedule yet.
→Explore → search → Save to Stash → ideas collected, zero commitment.
- 04The Plan
Make it yours
Open the Plan tab. Charlotte's itinerary is your starting point — your Stash items will get you to the finish line. Drag the teamLab exhibit onto Thursday afternoon. Swap out a dinner Charlotte suggested for the ramen spot you found. Something doesn't fit? Drag it back to the Stash. It's not gone, just tabled for future consideration.
→Drag from Stash → drop onto calendar → rearrange → drag back. Bidirectional, always.
- 05The Share
Send it like a message
Share the itinerary with your travel crew directly from your contacts. They see the full plan, copy it to their own account with one tap, and edit from there. Each person owns their version — no one is locked to yours.
→Share to contacts → they copy with one tap → each person owns their version.
- 06On the Ground
Your itinerary, hour by hour
You're in Tokyo. Pull up the Trips tab — Day view shows exactly what's next. Switch to Grid view for the full week at a glance. Open Map It! to see how far your next stop is and whether you need to leave now. The plan is right there, every step of the way.
→Day view → Grid view → Map It! → no guesswork, no scrambling.
- 07Plans Change
Adapt on the fly
Shibuya is louder than expected and you want to skip the evening bar. Open Plan, drag that item off the calendar, drop a Stash item in its place. Done in 15 seconds. The itinerary stays clean and current — whatever you're actually doing.
→Open Plan → drag and drop → itinerary updated in real time.
- 08The Memory
Your trip is saved — forever
When the trip ends, TripChart automatically moves it to your Journey tab as a Journaled trip. Add photos from your camera roll. The whole itinerary — every day, every item — is preserved exactly as it happened. Share it with friends or just revisit it whenever you want. Priceless memories saved forever.
→Trip ends → auto-Journaled → add photos → share with contacts or keep it private.
- 09The Recap
Your year in travel
At the end of each year, TripChart sends you a Wrapped — a personal travel recap of everywhere you went, everything you did, and every person you explored the world with. Your Travel Passport tracks it all: countries, cities, trips, memories. My parents used to document this all with physical photo albums. Now it'll be accessible at the palm of your hands.
→Year-end Wrapped → Travel Passport → your full story as a traveler.
Every trip is a memory worth keeping.
